Default Fox ls swap, silly question on cooling fans setup

I plan on using a Taurus two speed fan and wire it according to lt1swap.com.

My question is, how does the PCM communicate to the fans on when to turn the fan on? Do I need to hook up a probe into the radiator or is there a sensor plugged into one of the heads that goes into the PCM?

Feels like a silly question but I also want to hook but an electric gauge as well and not sure if I can a two birds one stone scenario here.

The temp sensor in the drivers side head is what the PCM uses to know coolant temperature,so I uses that to turn the fans on. This is if your spespecific OS has fans enabled. For your gauge you can use the plugged hole on the passenger sine head and put your temp sender in there.
