Yeah, drivetrain is about the only thing going well right now.

Every single patch panel needs major work to fit properly. Cut apart the lower driver door tonight to fit a new panel and it's so far off it's not even funny. The design in the patch looks nothing like the door. I'm going to make it work, but it's going to take a lot of small pieces of it.

Yeah, it was a nightmare. Every time I stopped the patch I would grind and it would turn to swiss cheese, so I would have to add more. All the while making this patch panel which doesn't even look right fight. And I forgot to spray some weld through primer, I was too tired.

Subscribing - Sweet truck. I just picked up a 5.3 out of a 2005 Silverado to put in my 1966 C20.

That escalated quite quickly =)

I like it.

Parting with my 242 and probably looking for a new project in the next few weeks.

Keeping entertained by others builds so keep them coming.

Thanks Sean. Sucks you're parting with the 242. But new projects are always exciting.

Mocked up the motor/trans today so I could install the trans mount. It's not perfectly level, but I wanted the tailshaft a little lower. If need be when I get everything bolted up I will elongate the holes and adjust it for the best angle.

Honeslty I did not really know what to do with the car now that it was done......I drove it a bunch and had lots of fun with it.

I could not bring myself to make it a race car it was just too damn nice.

Ill find something else to work on I am sure.

Looks like you are making nice progress.

If I knew that tuning my f100 was going to be such a challenge I would have either done a crate coyote motor and a 6 speed manual or a stock 6.0 So tired of looking at it just holding down the garage floor.

Keep up the good work,

Sean

Dude, we spent 2-3 days tuning mine. Finally my buddy just adjusted something and it was good. I don't think he even knew what he did lol.

Got the cab put back on the frame tonight. New poly bushing kit from LMC. Probably my favorite picture of the truck right now. Aired out front, sitting on the frame in the back. My buddy said I shouldn't C notch it and said it looks great as is.

That looks awesome!!

I cant wait to see how it looks with a bed and fenders on it.

You planning on having this thing on the road for the summer?

2 to 3 days....I wish on the tuning. You use HP Tuners or EFI Live or were you MS?

HPTuners Pro. I'll be using it for the truck as well.

They came from LMC and Top Banana (which both carry the same stuff).

how much drop did the spindles and the pb kit net you?

i have the mcgaughy 2.5 spindles and was looking at the pb level 1.

right now even with 12.7:1 PS, caster modded LCAs, nice tires and proper alignment, big sway bar, new joints and ends the truck still just kinda drives like a farm truck.

looking at the '03+ crown vic front end swap now.

If it's a C10, a Crown Vic front end is way too much work. Fits the F100's pretty easily though.

Getting rid of the rag joint will make a huge difference, and you could always swap in the no limits PS rack.

Without the motor in, my cross member is 3-4 inches from the ground as you can see in the above pic.
