Default 2009 Malibu LTZ 2.4l ecotec LS Swap

Okay so I have a 2009 Malibu LTZ 2.4l ecotec. I was wondering if its possible to swap it for an LS1 or an LSX with a 4L60E automatic tranny. If so, how? And how much$ am I looking to spend (NOT INCLUDING THE ENGINE OR TRANNY) to complete this swap? Or would it be wiser to keep the 2.4l and turbo or supercharge it? Please and thank you.

No offense, so dont take this wrong, but if you have to ask this question, it probably will be a lot more work than you think. A lot depends on how much you can do yourself and how much you have to pay others to do. It wont be a cheap swap by any stretch of the imagination.

It would be wisest to do nothing to that car,it should be left in its current state and purpose-a practical vanilla four door commuting appliance.

The car has no trans tunnel, your talking about cutting up the car completely most likely loosing center console and rear seat to make it rear wheel drive. It would be cheaper to buy a gto or a c5/ c6 vette. And keep your current car
