Default Vintage Air Gen IV LS1 Integration Colored Diagram

I've created a diagram to aid the install of my Vintage Air Gen IV unit into my 1969 Camaro. I will be integrating the LS1 pressure sensor into the VA drier. It's interesting to note that VA changed the design in their system and only uses 1 relay instead of the formerly used 2 relay system. This change took place in June 2014. You must integrate one additional relay to make the setup work this way.

Once again this has not yet been tested, so if someone feels there are errors please let me know.

Curious about this too. It's been a couple of weeks since the OP has been on here so we may need to bump this thread up a few times so he sees it next time he's on here.

My ac is running great wired just as vintage air says to with a trinary switch. I really just want to find a way to bump the idle. my car almost wants to stall every once in while when the ac is running. I understand I'll probably have to add the pressure sensor in but then I'm not sure what else. I don't want the pack to control anything with ac except bump idle.

Have you tried just putting 12v on the A/C request wire when the A/C is on? I've heard that will bump the idle, but have never personally tried it. Should be easy to try though.

I have used the AC request on the 411 ecm with good results on several swaps. I'm running an LS3 w E38 now and there is no AC request as far as I have found.

just to confirm, I'm running the pcm with red/blue connectors and tuned as a 2000 Camaro.... that 411 ecm? so supply 12v to the a/c request when the compressor is on?

The 411 PCM is a common one for an older LS1, but not necessarily the one you will have. Doesn't matter though, the old red/blue ones had the 12v request. So just hook 12v to that wire whenever the A/C is turned on, but dont hook it to the clutch wire, or else you will lose the request when the compressor cycles off.

I used the compressor wire, figuring I'd only need the idle bump when the compressor was engaged. It worked fine that way, but sure wouldnt hurt to try it as described above.
