Default GTO oil pan plug popped out! Oil everywhere

I have an bmw 325i with an ls1 swap. I used a gto oil pan and had to plug up the extra dipstick hole. I forgot to do that before putting the engine in the car, therefore I used the correct PN from Chevy for the freeze plug. I tapped it in until it stopped moving. Today I went for a ride and I started seeing white smoke coming out of the front of the car, and realized the plug was GONE
Did I install it wrong? What other solutions do I have, dropping the oil pan involves engine removal in my car unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice

Got a PN for the plug? I need one and personally I plan to use locktite when I install mine.

it's probably a steel alloy, maybe try a magnet?

i'd imagine it's more likely it went OUT rather than IN, but i'd want a "peek at the turkey" just to be sure.

Find out what size the hole is and try and match it with a tap size........tap it and put in a set screw with sealant on it....

I ended up dropping the front subframe, tap the bolt from the inside with a metric 10.5 tap and bolt with RTV.
Worked perfectly
