Default 1971 impala lsx

So I got so many questions but only enough skin on my fingers to type. I got a 71 impala I'm dropping a ls1 from a 98 T/A
I have everything from the swap tranny drive line but I'm going to just use to motor and carb SWAP it for now. I have a lot of parts but I need help with finding out what other parts I need for the conversion.

I understand most of the swap, the oil pan, intake, but the wiring relays is new to me so that is a little confusing.

I have every piece from the T/A

Also I have

Edelbrock performer ls1 intake
Edelbrock msd box
Gm rear sump oil pan
Carb(obviously)
2 Duel electric cooling Fans one from the T/A and one from a 97 v-6 camaro

I need still
Motor mounts
Flywheel spacer& bolts
Holley relocation brackets for A/C Alternator.
Headers
Holley* Fuel pump
Belts
Etc

So the one thing I need help with is the igntion system. I see in "super Chevy" the relays they used, but where would I find those I don't see them on the T/A. My friend is going to wire everything up since he's the pro, but I'm just curious if you know please let me. Or I can send you the link for super Chevy

BTW I will be posting pics of my ride and the recent swap purchase

1998 ls1 150,000 pretty clean runs great

4l60e no idea of condition but I got it and all the harness's with anything else I want for 1,200$

I thinks it's ok deal since that's basicly the price of a block almost. I almost bought a 5.3 then a ls6 but I came back to this since the guy was in need of some cash so whatever lol

I sold my 350 for $1,200 to pay for it it ran good has brand new add ons but its just a 350

I have a turbo 350 that I will be mateing to the ls1 0 miles freshly rebuilt

Its going to be going in my 1971 impala custom coupe I've been restoring for me and my family to ride in, vibe too, you know the deal
Its about 75% done needs paint but I did everything with my 2 hands and a little help from a upholstery shop and a transmission shop. And my 3 mechanics that are my best friends on the side I'm young I'm trying to make this happen with limited funds but the moons my limits

Where is the factory coolant sensor on the ls1 I need to know so I can wire the dual cooling fan

And should I replace anything else I broke a crankshaft outer main bearing cap stud but over tq'n it I'm pissed, should I just replace them all since my friends decided to take the oil baffle off anyways. Who makes the best bolts ARP?.... Nightmare already starting but hey sounds like life

So once I'm passed these little steps were Goldin

Pics soon

Thanks for any help, advice, criticism please I need the motivation to get this impala on the road running!,

VIDEO OF FIRST START UP *&*&*&*& ---->

ut back to my orginal question,

what spare plugs, and (gab) and spark plug wire do you guys use for a every ay good gas milage, i don't mind paying a little extra.

and the coil...... should i stick with the stock gm coils or save up and get the MSD stuff. i know it does great in old school engine, but what can it do for me and my carbureted engine.

also it would be a big help hat oil, and filter yo guys use. my engines miliage is about
150,45

any advice help please... LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

Uses holley rear sump oil pan swap kit.

Hooker ls1 motor mount adaptors

And energy suspension motor mounts. Need to use your old mounts for reference when purchasing new ones.

what i need help is with my shift linkage.

what did you guys do running a stock early model tranny like a t350 or t400.
did you guys have to modify your shift linkage because mine clearly does not have any room to shift gears.

i have the hooker ls1 manifold part number Hooker Headers #8501-3HKR

any advice help or suggestions would be great. thanks

As fir the shifter linkage issue, yoy need the Kugel components shifter linkage kit.
For headers, check out Hotrodlane.cc, they make them for the b-bodys but I think fbody or gto headers might fit. Hell look into the truck headers made by JBA, theyre shorties with 1.75" primaries iirc.
