Been lurking for a while and getting some work done on my 1987 Fox Body LS swap. Figured I would make a thread to show some of the progress being done.
A friend of mine is helping me with the work.

Bought the car as a roller. Car was in really good condition when I got it.







Platform is going to be a 6.0 with a 78/75 single turbo, paired up to a 4L80E trans.

Specs of the motor:
LS2 rotating assembly
LS2 timing chain
Ported LS6 intake and DBC 78mm throttle body
Ported LS6 oil pump
317 aluminum heads
LS9 head gasket
ARP head studs and rod bolts
Fox swap oil pan
BTR .605/.610 cam
BTR .660 valve springs
Holley fuel rail
80lb injectors

Here's when we got the motor and car all loaded up to be dropped off.

The shifter has been installed.





Dash cluster is being removed for a F Body gauge cluster.

AC/heater have been completely removed.





Getting a lot of the unnecessary stuff out of the engine bay.



Waiting on a few things still to arrive for the engine bay. Ordered the AJE front end kit, as well as some panels from Scott Rod Fab to clean up the engine bay.

Few other parts that we have / are ordered that will be going in soon:

Full length subframe connectors
Torque box supports
Tubular front bumper and rad support
Battery relocation kit
3 row aluminum radiator
Oil cooler
Trans cooler
F Body cluster


Trans is still needing to be worked on.



3800-4000 stall torque converter

Pretty much all that is left is the turbo kit, remaining fuel system upgrade, rear end, rear suspension, and driveshaft.

perfect stance, what tire and Wheel width are you using?

I'm debating selling these wheels once it's running, but IDK yet.
Currently they are 17x9 and 17x10.5 FR500 wheels.

10,5 Wheel with 305 tire? does it rub a lot?

10.5 with a 315 tire.
I will be rolling the fenders, the only rubbing is on the driver side tire.

just curious why did you get rid of the cluster?

I don't like the stock cluster, and I didn't want to spend a **** load on a different cluster LOL. I got this other one for $75. Plus it should be pretty easy to wire up with the Ls stuff

makes sense, Its been 10 years now and still one day I might hook up the mph gauge. Everything else works lol. build looks good

Nice looking car and build. Im from Austin and live in San Marcos now. I might be looking for turbo info later on with my S10. Havent decided yet on if I am going that route or not.

I'm in Cedar Park, just outside of Austin. I've got an sn95 5.3 s475 that I'm working on trying to finish. Looks like you're on the right track with your build. That's a clean *** looking coupe also.
