Default Need help with aftermarket tach for LS swap

Car is an 87 G-body. It will have an aftermarket Dominator. Where will the aftermarket Autometer tach tie into with the engine? Will the Dominator pick up engine RPM from it's own signal somewhere?

There are a couple of ways to pick up tach signal. Don't know about a Dominator. But you can get them from the coil pack as well as the pcm. Hope this helps.

The Dominator has a "tach out" wire (blue/white stripe) that you can connect directly to the Autometer tach. The Dominator ECU will determine engine speed from the crank sensor.
