Hi everyone I'm new to the forum so I'm sure there's other threads just like this but I'm not sure really how to use the website very we'll yet, with that said I need some help. What all am I gonna need to swap over, it's a 2000 SS auto convertible to a 98 Z28 M6 hardtop roller, roller has no wire harness they cut it out right in front of the plugs on the passenger side in the car and on the driver side there's a few cut wires right at the firewall under the hood. I'm going to use the 2000's engine and 4l60e, I heard the fuel system,the trans wire harness is different,PCM,gauge cluster wires different and also my 98 has traction control and the 2000 doesn't, will I have to swap rears also?

most everything should swap over but sounds like you know 98 were different. I dont think you need to change rear out. Why not drive convertable?

Thanks for the reply, 2000 convertible is totaled it belongs to my dad he was going to sell me his car to put the 98 car together. His car doesn't have traction control but mine does so I figured the wiring for the rear would be different

i just did same swap. but 98wrecked to 98roller both 6speed. both made january 98 but one had 2 brake lines to rear other had single. put single line and abs pump over now abs light wont go out, brakes work fine. if you have hoist it goes fairly easy. i left suspension/motor/tranny all together. switched from one to other. wiring can stay on motor as you no just disconnect from body side. i dont no whats different in your wiring. but at least everything there for bolt in. good luck
