99 mustang 5.3 turbo swap
This is my first post even though I've been cruising the site for months, any input is appreciated. I'm planning on building a 5.3 budget build but also trying to be somewhat reliable and driving it daily to an extent along with going to the track. I want to run e85 through it so fuel wise I'm not to sure what I need but will run 93 not sure yet. The build list so far is this.
Lm7 jy motor with truck intake/ECU/wiring harness
Upr k member/motor mounts/control arms/coil springs
Built TH400
Trans brake/full manual valve body
Trans cooler
Custom driveshaft
8.8 rearend
Th400 crossmember
Just to get the motor in the car and running is the first objective and then onto the turbo...
S475 t6 1.10ar 83mm
120# injectors or can I get away with 80# injectors on E85?
Holley Fuel pump 180gph
E85 fuel lines
Cheap 4" air to air intercooler
Arp head studs
Arp rod bolts
Hardened Pushrods
Ls9 head gasket
Tial 44 wastegate
Turbosmart 50mm bov
Lunati gold dual valve springs
Boost controller
Regapped rings to .026-.028
Attempting to use the stock gauge cluster or Camaro cluster with additional gauges.
Custom torque converter
Cam - Ls6 or custom grind?
Are the lifters fine stock?
Also controlling everything do I need a msd?
Am I forgetting anything that I need?
What could this setup be pushed to in a ~3200 lb 99 mustang? Whp or ET's?

Welcome to LS1tech!
WHEW! what a lot of stuff to do!
First off, lets stick you here in the conversions section.
Secondly, how do you intend on controlling this fuel injected engine?
The LM7 is a genIII engine so it has 24x/1x crank & cam sensors. You'll need a genIII type PCM and matching engine wiring harness. Cable or DBW (drive by wire) throttle body also dictates what PCM you'll need. You'll need a custom tune to tune out things such as the transmission, rear O2 sensors, EGR and A.I.R. systems that you won't be using.
MSD makes an ignition controller to use these engines with a carburetor on a carb intake manifold. Assuming you get a complete fuel injection controller & wiring harness, you'll have no need for a MSD ignition controller.
I'm not a turbo guy and I'm sure there's specific needs to use a turbo and GM PCM so I'll step aside and let others guide you to the best setup for turbo use.

Thanks for both of the replies. Yea I wasn't sure exactly where I was supposed to post it.
I am planning on staying fuel injected and have read quite a bit about HPTuners being able to tune the stock PCM to well above I'm looking for. I will be getting the PCM flashed to delete all that stuff and have the whole "How To" for the wiring harness.
Turboing them hasn't seemed to be a big issue but I am wondering how well the spool would be on that turbo and when it would run out of turbo also.

Bumping this up from the dead what happendo with this build. I'm doing a similar build and have questions on hydroboost andelete power steering also the ac. I'm close to being done once I get these figured out I csn fire it up
