Default TomM's - LSA Powered - 66 Nova Coupe...

Time to start a build thread for my latest endeavor...... my 66 Nova Coupe...

Going to take this...

Take this out...

And put this...(less the 6L90)..

This...

And this in...

Plus a whole bunch of other Church Boys Racing goodness......

Should be a learning curve to try to cram this puppy under the hood....To say this is going to be a handful is an understatement.....

Exactly, tried an 6L80 on another Nova and it hung down about 4" below the car.....just not worth the work. The 60E I have is built well beyond what I will ever do with the car....

Got the 327 and power glide out.....

Overall the sheet metal is in good shape. Just needs a good de-greasing and cleaning...

Yeah, pretty tickled about it once I pulled the carpet....

What did you do for a converter on your LSA, did you run stock, anti-balloning plate or anything special?

An update.....

Stripped the firewall and found some interesting hieroglyphics....LOL.

Number on the cowl matches the VIN sequence....and some assembly line markings...

Firewall and fender panels prepped ....

Amazes me as I peel back the layers, how solid it is and how long it has lasted...

This is definitely a badass project!

Can't wait to see it once you get it all finished up.
