Thank you. The cut does not look to bad for the t56. My whole tunnel is cut out as of now from the mounts I am using. Any time frame for when the cross member will hit the shelves? I know they are still being finalized. Everything look real good. Can't wait.

I wouldn't say you "have" to use the Hooker crossmember, but you'll be hard pressed to find another one that provides the same ease of installation/removal and optimized ground clearance and U-joint operational angles. You can chop up the stock Chevelle crossmember, space it up off the frame rails and rework the center pad to provide similar geometry, but it will be a pain in the *** to install it unless you also modify one of its ends to be removable. The Hooker crossmember won't be available for another 45 days, but I'll be featuring more photos and CAD images of it on this thread next week so those interested in it can get a look at the benefits it will provide to the user.

Hey guys, a little heads-up for you here...I noticed the forward position engine brackets have hit the shelf with only a quantity of 5 remaining out of the first batch, since most of them are allocated to fill back-orders that have been pending. If you want to secure a set, I would head over to the Holley website, or any reseller's site listing them, and place an order pronto. There's more coming from our supplier, but it will be a few weeks I'm sure until the next run becomes available. The stock position engine brackets should be hitting the shelf any day now as well.

These new Hooker A-body swap components/systems are part of the Blackheart line, so they will only be offered in stainless steel (304SS). The tailpipes of the systems exit as turn-downs under the rear bumper valence. I'm working on building the first-article production system now and will get it installed on the development vehicle next week and get it photographed. I will post photos here following that work.

Perfect, that's what you should have received. The crossmember situation in your application is an unknown at this point as no fitment testing of the parts has been carried out on a convertible. Be sure to let me know how it goes for you.

Thanks NorCal. I also had the G-Force cross-member, which is made specifically for the 4L80e on a A-body convertible frame, before Holley started developing its new cross-member, which isn't compatible with a convertible without modification. I will post pictures regarding how the G-Force member works out with the Holley LS swap components (302-2 oil pan, frame mounts, and blackheart headers). Getting started in a week or so.

Got mine yesterday also. Now I need to decide if I want to save these for my 70 Chevelle 5.3 swap or go ahead and do a swap on th 71 Chevelle wagon I recently bought (got a 4.8 combo sitting in the shop I might put in it).

I get my mounts Monday! Although, going to be closer to spring before I get too deep into engine swap. I've got a few other things to upgrade (including a 9" or built 12 bolt rear end) Goodby money!
