Default P0351 but car runs fine

I have a MIL for "Coil A fault" which says that something in the driver or the coil is grounding when it shouldn't. The car starts and drives fine. I haven't beat on it but I don't think I should have to. I swapped the coil/wire/spark plug to the cylinder next to it (3 I think it is) and the code came back after a minute or two. Since my motor is a swap, most of the factory but small bits are different. But nothing near that area.

What's the best way to go diagnosing how to fix this?

Edit: 2006 LS2 from a GTO in a 1989 BMW 325i. Factory harness/pcm
