I know that one problem has been that they do not have a power steering pump and the aftermarket haven't developed brackets for the older pumps to be used on them.

I've read about the lack of PS pump on the new line of motors a handful of times now. I haven't read why these motors don't have PS pumps or how the vehicles equipped with these motors handle PS. Can anyone answer that for me? Thanks

Hydraulic engine driven power steering assist will soon be a thing of the past like cable operated throttles, just another step in taking the driver out of the equation and an outside entity controlling and monitoring where the vehicle goes, stops and steers.

The steering is still connected to the rack, just uses an electric motor to ASSIST with effort. Really a great thing for feel, you can program how much effort you are comfortable with.

What is the low pressure side of the fuel system running?

I have read that the oil pan is a big prohibitive factor at the moment.

The pump from the tank to the engine, if you want to call it the low side (would be on a diesel I suppose), is running at what the high side of an LS is, so around 60psi or so. Shouldn't be hard to deal with that.
