What mods are necessary to fit an Ls1 radiator and fan assembly into an early Firebird? Does anything need to be cut and what's needed to secure it?

Didn't have to do much of anything. Dropped the LS1 fans and radiator right in on my 76 swap. I made some little L brackets to keep it in place.

I'm not using the factory fan shroud. Don't see any issues. Runs at at a nice cool temp.

I'll see if I can dig up some pics.

Cant find any pics, but you won't have any issues. You just have to devise a way to hold the radiator in place. I put mine at a slight angle like how the 4th gen fbodys run it.

BTW I remembered I am running an LT1 year radiator. same L x W but slightly more depth for more cooling.

I'm not using a LS or LT radiator in mine, just an el-cheapo Spectra Premium #CU709 from Rock Auto. It was $109 delivered two years ago and has been working beautifully ever since. I got my fan from a late 90s Bonneville at the junk yard.
