This would probably get a better response on C10forum.com

It would a major undertaking I imagine. For several reasons.

#1 is C-10 dash isn't removable, it got to be cut out.

#2 The late model dash is huge in comparison, you would loose cab space as well as be fabricating all mounts. Plus id think you would need to section the width as well.

Those are just initial concerns, I would think many more issues with fitment arise once into it

Thanks for the advice just wondering if anyone has done or attempted it. I'm getting a done silverado with 5.3 figured I could swap motor trans and economic harness and dash all at once. I'll keep checking sets I have an 03 sierra Ima measure the dash in it than my 82 see what it's like

Would be a lot easier to retrofit the gauge cluster into the existing dash.

the easiest would be going to 90-91 suburban/ blazer cluster as it has electric speedometer. Need to rearrange wire plug as GM changed it.

The whole dash would be a huge undertaking, you'd be better off to just use the stock instruments and dash with the 5.3

Default dash board conversion

It can be done. Ls1Nova71 would be a person to contact. He his a knowledgable person that frequents this forum. to make the dash conversion work, your gonna need the BCM from a donor vehicle. The BCM controls the gauges, lights, and mirror compass, and other comforts features these vehicles contain. Good luck. I will def. be following this thread.
