SN95 cobra 4.8 turbo build **It Runs Now** vid on last page
Wish I had more to post up on this build since I've had the car for a number of months now. Just bought a house so the build is going to be slow.
Parts I currently have:
The car
AJE k member, aje th400 trans crossmember, strange adj with upr coilover kit, mm 4 bolt caster plates
Out with the slowld, in with the new. Sold the 4v and trans for 100 bucks to a friend, SUCK IT FORD!
08 4.8 stock bottom, ls6 intake, fast rails - painted ford blue because
gapped rings, ARP bolts, ls9 cam and headgaskets, 241 heads, pac 1218's and hardened pushrods.
Built th400, coan billet input shaft, 34 sprag, PTC converter (the expensive one)
S475 with race cover - t4 1.0AR
Motor and trans are going into the car on Friday, still waiting on the freeze plug for the speedsensor hole to show up (couldnt find it locally) and my damn hydraulic ram on my 15 yr old harbor freight hoist died so I just finished replacing that. Also bought the b and m stealth ratchet shifter with button grip since I have a transbrake, hoping it shows up this week so I can start hacking the center console.
Going to go with the holley dominator EFI setup and still trying to decide between a dual fuel pump setup (holley 12-1800-2) or a mechanical, leaning towards mechanical. Car is going to run e85.
Plan on running the 8.8 with girdle, 35 spline axles and 9" ends with a spool.
I would like to see 700+ out of this turbo but I think it'll be living on the edge near 800rw. I'll likely build a gen 4 5.3 and upgrade to a 480 or 484 after I get it running and enjoy it for a bit and I'd like to see the car touch 1krwhp. Maybe just sell this turbo and get a 480 before I have the hotside built.
Anyways, it's going to be a slow and long project but I'll update the thread whenever I buy new stuff and put it in.
Wow you can see the progression of how dirty the garage gets with every pic taken haha, guess it's time to clean up!

I still have all the original SVO exterior stuff for the most part. I will start a build thread once I get some more stuff together. This picture is from last summer, it was a 400whp+ 2.3

I have a soft spot for white sn95 cobras (first car, cept v6) but the svo with the offset hoodscoop is my 2nd favorite mustang, very unique and total sleeper. Everyone knows those svo can be fast, but put an ls in it and it will trick a good number of folks.

Trans is in, sort of.
Got the trans and converter in and had to put spacers on the flexplate to converter but it's exactly 1/8th inch with the spacers.
I bought an aje trans mount on here for a sn95/th400 combo but it doesn't fit. Going to call aje in the morning to figure out what I have. I'm thinking it might be for a fox but I'll know more when I call aje.
My shifter came in this week:
I've got it in the car, have the center console trimmed but I haven't mounted it yet. I'll have to put spacers under it to make it comfortable and unfortunately I'm gonna have a lot of the ahifter poking through the console giving it that "not so stock" type feeling.

Welp, figured out the trans crossmember.
Here is what it looked like with a SN95 AJE th400 crossmember:
Apparently, the sn95 Cobra's have a further back crossmember mount than the GT and v6. The good thing is that the mounts are adjustable, just have to drill two new holes to blot it up to the rail.
So here is how it sits now:
Doing some test fitting to see if I can get this behemoth to fit. Lookin good so far!

Spacer was built into the ptc converter. Those guys are badasses, you can tell them your setup and they will build to the setup.
I don't know if they'll like me linking to yb but if you Google yb ptc crank spacer there is a thread explaining it.

thanks guys.
I don't know the specs on the PTC. I just called them up, told them exactly what I have (car weight, gears, tire size, motor, estimated hp, turbo, flexplate, transmission, etc) and PTC told me they could build it for me. I then called up a local shop, DB Rods, and had them order it for me. The owner of DB showed me the snout extension to take care of the spacer and went over the setup. It's in the car right now or I'd give you the numbers on it stating exactly how it was built.
DB Rods told me that PTC usually does a restall for free in case it needs to be changed after the car is setup completely. I'll get under the car when I get home and see if I can read all the numbers on the converter and I'll let you guys know.
Oh, this little guy came in the mail yesterday To quote a message I sent a friend on facebook "I like my fuel system to look like it came out of an 80's spandex workout video"
I think I'm going to order the Glenns Sleeper tank with 10 feed to the billet belt drive aeromotive and 8 return and then plumb the car with socketless aeroquip lines. Plan is to go from pump to a 10,8,8 Y block, feed the front of the rails and have the regulator between the two rails in the back. After that I might take my chances doing custom power steering lines, with borgeson pressure reducer on the ls pump, for this hydroboost setup, not looking forward to that. Found this pic with part numbers on svtp
Yay for semi big power a/c, power steering, abs car!
Trans cooler came in too, went with something tiny, possibly too tiny, what do yall think? I'm going to run a decent amount of hose to it though, hopefully thatll help cool the fluid.

Just ran the lines for the trans cooler, think I might redo it cause it's making me uncomfortable because it's so close to where the exhaust will be. Probably going to order the turbo manis Friday and take a look how close it is before I redo it.
