no rpm signal 5.3 swap
I have a 93 camaro with a 5.3. After I did the swap I havent had rpm signal. When i connect it to any computer it will not read rpm. I runs perfectly fine. I also believe i have no rev limiter. Is there some type of sensor that may be bad and cause this problem? Any advice would be great.
Thanks

The 93 Z28 tach still triggered off of the ignition coil negative pulse instead of a PCM type trigger, so the output from the PCM may not have enough ooomph to trigger that tach. You may need something like a dakota digital tach adapter box that has a high output tach trigger. In 94 the Camaro switched over to a PCM triggered tach.

But besides my actual tach not working, i also dont have feedback when i connect a scan tool to my obd2. When the car is running my scan tool says 0 rpms. Is there something else that could possibly be causing both of these issues? Thanks so much for the advice so far

The instruction/installation manual for the LS3 says that the following, please review it to see if it applies to your situation. I'm wondering if a pull-up resistor might help and avoid the use of a box, but can't say.
