Does your 5.3 have an oil cooler delete plate?

Check out my build thread on my rusty 71 short bed. I have pics on how to make an adapter out of the stock sender. Works real good and allows you to use the original oil pressure line if you're keeping the factory gauges. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...-c-10-a-2.html Post #26.

Default Oil pressure gauge

I assume you have to drain the oil if I use the oil cooler delete?

You shouldn't have to. But I wouldn't recommend trying to drill and tap it on the oil pan....

You can take your adapter and tap it also.
