89 Mustang
I took a step forward in my racing operation. I sold my 98 Camaro as a roller. Kept LS1 engine, th400 transmission and Hughes converter to go into new car. My Camaro, standard high 9 sec. streetcar with 4L60e, but heavy and only 10.0 track legal.
I picked up a 89 Mustang notch roller, 8.50 legal cage lightweight, a legit small tire race car. The Mustang back in the 90's was a 5.0 magazine tech car called 10" Terror, it was later raced on west coast in PSCA for many years.
The plan is to put the LS1, th400, and complete nitrous system from the Camaro into the car and race it in 275 or Outlaw 8.5.

Made some progress with the car, cleaned up the trunk and interior
First I got rid of the hood with the aero scoop in favor of a VFN 5" slope hood
Engine and transmission are now in the car, used a Skinny Kid Race Cars LSx/Foxbody motor plate. I'm using a GM pcm, and a PRK Automotive stand alone engine harness for engine management. I chanced the fuel system completely from the carb setup, to Efi with a Holley inline pump. Still using the same Nitrous Outlet Stinger plate that I had on the Camaro. The Dynatech headers fit on passenger side, but will need some work to fit the drivers side
I put the LNC-2000 and Leash progressive controller inside the glove box lid
To reduce some weight and make more room to get in and out of the car I ditched the stock column in favor of a Racecraft tubular bolt in unit. and a 6" steering wheel extension from Tim McCamis Racing

your steering column has 4 bolts that hold it under the dash that you can shim different ways to help clear the headers. you can almost drop the column an inch with spacers.
