Here's what I did. Just used the bottom stud and opened the bottom hole up on the pedal assembly. Seems pretty solid. Also I had to hack up the pedal lever and weld it back up. The only thing I have left to do is drill the hole in the firewall for the bulkhead grommet for the wiring.
