Default f150 power steering line

I discovered the original Ford line bolts in to the 5.3 power steering pump but, I don't know if it will leak the tip end is different. Any info greatly appreciated. The Ford line is the 1 on the left, the 1 on the right is the original 5.3 line out of a Suburban.

Im guessing it wont work, but that style of ford fitting will swivle even when tight, so not sure if it has to bottom out in anything. But heck, why not just try it, all you'll be out is a little fluid if it doesn't work. There is usually a nylon ring that seals it at the threads, do you have that? Post back if you try it!

I don't have the nylon ring, I don't know if they carry them at Autozone.

Maybe a dumb question, but why not use the original line? Or new original? Are they expensive?

I'm trying to use the Ford f150 line because it's the original line that bolts to the Ford power steering box.

I know the fitting on the gm pumps comes out, it seals differently over the years, wonder if you could take one out of a ford box?

This peice, fits in most if not all gm saginaw boxes the same, but accepts different style line fittings, I have swapped them out.
