Default LS1 Swap Into 99 V6

I'm starting an LS1 swap into my 99 v6. The donor is a running 2000 Camaro LS1 that was hit on the side pretty good. The V6 has a lot of sentimental value, it was my first car. We built the motor significantly, but never could get it running the best. I found a running LS1 and decided its time to put an LS1 in it. Im sure I will have questions as I dig into the swap. Anyone have experience with doing this swap?

A lot of this applies to the V6 conversion. All Pro DIY is handy for wiring diagrams/pinouts if you can't find them elsewhere.

you're doing it the right way. Take a full donor and pull everything from fuel lines forward.

For exhaust I'm looking at:

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5187-t...d-cut-out.aspx

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-292-te...ed-y-pipe.aspx

Anyone have experience with any of these?

I almost have it ready to go into my car. I do have one question regarding the fuel lines. The V6 has 3 lines, while the LS1 has 2 lines. Do I need to run the lines from the V8 camaro on the V8? I already upgraded the pump on the V6 camaro.

v8 runs a returnless setup, and I think the third line just taps into the fuel filter.

I have done the same swap but I did a steel braided line setup with a aftermarket reg. and filter. Try doing a few searches, I know there are some guys that have done the swap in a more stock configuration that you can get a more definitive answer from.

I went ahead and pulled lines from the z28 donor and put those on mine. No issues with that swap. I'm making a lot of progress. Swapped the rear end from the donor into mine because it's a posi rear end. Motor is assembled almost ready to get bolted in. Should be able to get motor put in mine in next few days.

Ok I'm stuck. The v6 is a drive by wire while the ls1 is drive by cable. I pulled the throttle cable from the v8 donor without issue. I went to pull the pedal from the 6 and it as a module connected to the pedal. What do I do with the connector that I unplugged from that? Also what does the second cable on the throttle go to? It's the one that goes to front of car. What is its purpose?

How do I switch the VIN to the VIN that is in my car? With the swap I need to still pass echeck, but I will have problems when they check it and the pcm vin does not match the car.
