I also figured my fuel level sender took a crap, so Ill address that later. Hopefully not after I run out of gas.

I came into work this am and was talking to one of my guys about my trans seal issue. Yes, I killed another one. We chatted back and forth and bounced theories on why its killing seals. He came up with the notion that my DS is actually, too long. I told him that with the rear end hanging down, while the truck is on the lift, I have to pry the DS into the yoke of the rear. He thinks that when the weight is back on the wheels, that the rear end goes up and pushes the DS further into the trans.
I checked the trans shafts and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. So I am going home and re-installing the trans...again.
Then I will install DS and then see just how far it moves in or out with the truck on the ground. HOPEFULLY, the sumbitch moves in, then I can take DS back and have them whack off an 1"

Like I said, Good thing this truck is so much fun to drive.

Well, its been a while since Ive been to the track. A group of my friends were headed down and asked if i would join them.
So I dusted off the helmet and dug deep into my closet to get my racing jacket out and headed out.

Made two runs last night. Easing off the line, then hammering down, banging gears, pedaling the throttle through 3rd with a lot of wheel hopping and spinning. Finally into 4th and then the magic happened.
Ole DD pulled like a freight train!!
Holy **** it was good!!! The Blower was whinning like a bitch and the engine noise was so sweet to the ears! Pulling to the top of 4th at the stripe, I was rewarded with some killer mph! 111 in the 1/4!! F**K YEAH!!!!
I knew the rest of the run wouldnt reflect what power it makes. But those that know, mph tells a good story of what its doing.

I need to read some plugs, it developed a miss on the way home while I lugged on it. 6th gear, low rpms. But I have 20 Girl scouts coming over later today and we are going to learn camping safety and watch a movie outside. My wife has all kinds of Honey Dos for me.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!!

I'm running a factory 2006 ECM, 17113739 injectors, corvette FPR @50PSI. I tried getting the information from Magnachargers but they were of no help. All I really need is the injector data as I have HPtuners Pro, but for whatever reason I have not been able to find the accurate data.

Not a whole lot done this past week, as I was on a Vacation with the family.

I did get the 4" Aluminum Intake "fab'd up" Its really just two part numbers from Vibrant Performance that happened to fit my combo, so I got lucky there.

Ill get my guy, Jason to TiG them together and then Kenny to Powdercoat it.

I also got the passenger side inner fender well installed.

The list is getting real short, but still a lot to do. Hopefully, I MIGHT make some Varroom noises by Sunday????
As always, Thanks for tuning in.
Oh yeah, I hope everyone had a SAFE and Happy 4th Of July!!!

Can you post the part numbers for the vibrant intake tubes? Also, please pm me your paypal and I'll send you some $$ for shipping the supercharger bracket diagrams. Thanks,

Rob

I hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Not much going on with the truck. The radiator is still at Afco getting fixed and my headers are almost finished up at Killer Koatings. I stopped by to check on them and they were fresh out of the oven.

Kenny told me that they will lose the gloss look and be more of a dull black once they cure.

Thank you!

Im finally getting around to upgrading my gauges in the truck. I should say gauge as the only one working is the fuel level.
I looked around and Dakota Digital offered probably the cleanest, most stock appearing set out there. I went with their VHX line and opted for the white back light. I thought about red BL, but I figured I would get tired of red after too long.

But first I have to make a small change.
I got tired of my 9 & 10 year old girls asking me why, Sally is dressed like that, why does she have Ginourmous ***** etc etc So I did a complete 180!

Buddy Christ is now on the dash! Sally is semi-retired and will only do a couple carshows.

On to the gauge install...
Quick, first glance, they look amazing!

I already have an oil pressure sensor for the Holley HP, so I needed to put the oil press sensor for the DD here.

I was thinking the headers would probably hit the sensor using this block off. So I got one off a 4th Gen Camaro.

I wasnt sure where I was going to mount the "brain box" but ended up using the original metal piece under the column. I also mounted the 2 switches there as well. Should give me easy access if needed later on.

There was a bit of grinding I had to do on the steel dash to get the assembly to fit exact. Not a lot at all, but there was some.
But overall, I cant wait to get this wired and fired up! Looks like I picked the correct gauge set up!!

You will love the DD setup, has more features than you can imagine....I have them on my Nova and they are great. Also just finished hooking up their cruise control, works perfect...

So now they have come out with the HDX setup....even has an app to do programming.....

T,
Very cool! Are you drive by wire or cable? I looked at the HDX, but couldnt justify the extra $$$$.

Drive by wire.....yeah, don't see the HDX in my future either....

I think they make a drive by cable unit too....it all interfaces with the DD gauge controller and even gives you a cruise control light just light factory when it's on.....

They WORK!!!

Now I have to figure out why my heater, blower motor quit working and figure out why my Tstat wont open.
The Tstat is new, and Im guessing the old one not opening, is the reason why my radiator developed a leak.

Always something with these damn projects!
