Default 5.3 swap alternator help!!

I have almost completed my swap but am stuck with trying to wire up the alternator, i know there are many thread on here over the issue but i haven't found any that are quite like mine %100. its a 5.3 to 80 K10 running a carb setup. i am stuck trying to wire this alternator. its a 4 pin but only 3 are used, and the wiring from the truck is the old 2 wire plug black and red. i have seen diagrams on here for the plug but they dont match what i have, if anyone can just give me color wire and what to do with it that would be awesome and much appreciated.

The 5.3 plug you will only use the brown wire the white or gray and the blue went to PCM. On your two wire plug the black wire should hook to the brown wire I meant to ask does your truck have a idiot light or a ammeter if you don't have a light you will haft wire in the 470 ohm resistor everybody talks about on here hope this helps

The red wire on your vehicle harness plug is the exciter wire and can be attached to the "L"
or "I" terminal on the alternator. The other wire on your vehicle harness is the remote sensing wire and needs to be attached to the "S" terminal of the alternator.

There should be a brown wire on your truck coming out of the firewall at the fuse panel harness junction just hook it to brown on the alternator plug which it should have this brown wire either if the truck has a idiot light or ammeter and you can delete the trucks original alternator wiring

So the brown wire from the 80 k10 is already kicked down, just go straight to the brown on the alternator plug? I'll give it a shot here in the next couple of days. Thanks for the help
