Yes, I couldn't be happier with the swap so far. I spent a lot of time adapting a GM bellhousing to my Ford T56 to retain the cable clutch, and the weather just got bad here so I haven't been able to drive it yet, but the way it starts and runs is just head and shoulders better than my previous (4 cylinder high boost turbo) setup. If you decide to do the swap, let me know and I can save you a lot of time and money. I plan to do a build thread, but just haven't had the time yet.

I sure will and thanks for offering. If you had a choice of IRS or solid rear which would you choose and why?

I've had both and prefer the IRS hands down.I started out with a stock Ford 4 link which was junk, so I went to a 3 link with a panhard bar and it was a big improvement, but noisy. Then I tried an '04 Cobra IRS that I upgraded with a bunch of Maximum Motorsport parts and the difference between that and the 3 link was incredible. Much better ride quality, much better handling on road courses, and much quieter for the street. It really transformed the car, and was a pretty easy swap.

I anticipate the crossmembers becoming available 2-3 weeks from now. I'm putting together the information for the product release at the moment to streamline the process as much as possible.

There is a ton of useful information in this thread, much of which will take me days to read. I have a 1980 Fox that I am looking to install a 5.3 and S475 turbo on almost exclusively with shelf parts. I will be running the Hooker LS header kit with crossover for th400. Was there anything done about the use of the turbo mounting, etc? I saw a photo on here from one point when the rest of the hotside had been constructed. Also, will the engine mounts for the swap work with a 1980 K member? I realize that you said you were unable to confirm at first if it would be a bolt on application with this situation.

Thank you for your time. Holding off on ordering until I am able to get the transmission mount, engine mount, and turbo kit ordered all at once.

The turbo mounting bracket I prototyped during the development process is not something that product management has decided to move forward with into production at this point. I can’t say when, or if, that will ever happen. I was able to validate that the engine mounting brackets for the stock K-member will only work in a bolt-in manner with 1984-93 stock K-members as the motor mount attachment slot/hole pattern layout is different on the earlier stock K-members.

I have nothing new to report, but I’m going to check in with the supplier tomorrow for a status update.

Saw the mounts and headers at PRI. Looking forward to the rest of the kit.

Both of the Fox Body transmission crossmembers are on the shelf, so the product release will be completed over the next couple of days and be sent out along with the parts being listed on the Holley website. I can't post part numbers for them until that happens, but I have an image of each one here to share. The crossmember on the bottom is the one that is used for 4L80/4L85 installations that many of you have been asking about.

Awesome! I'm assuming the crossmember on top is the one that will mount a T-56, right?

Actually no, the crossmember on top is used for Powerglide, TH350 or TKO installations. The crossmember on the bottom is used directly for T56 installations and with different available adapters to install a 2004R, TH400, 4L60-4L70 or 4L80/4L85 transmissions. The attached image here depicts the bottom crossmember used in a 4L80 installation; note the adapter attached to the transmission extension housing.

Oh! Okay. I get it. The bottom pictured crossmember directly mounts a T-56 with no adapters needed. Adapters needed for the automatic transmissions.

That's correct, here's the same crossmember used to install a T56...
