Andrew, as Tipsy pointed out, a buddy of mine made it for me. It wouldn't be too hard to make though, it's just a flat piece. The air cleaner adapter on the other hand was turned on a lathe I believe.
Been steadily working on the wagon, but with my deadline looming, I haven't really had a chance to update the thread. The big brown truck dropped off the tires the other day, the same day the FedEx truck dropped off the wheels. Couldn't time it any better than that. So the next day I took them to the local Discount Tire to get them mounted and balanced where they proceeded to mount one back tire on a front wheel and one front tire on a back wheel...... I'm like, seriously? The guy said he didn't realize they were tow different sizes........
I wish the car didn't sit quite so low in the front, and the tires were slightly taller, but it is what it is I guess. I mean it looks bitchin' but might not be real practical to drive. I will probably put a new set of springs in it to get it up an inch or so, but that will have to wait until after the show.
I figured out what to do with the oil fill tube, so hope this works! What I did was got a power steering pump fill tube and cap...
Then cut the end off of it and welded it to the oil fill tube.
Cut out the bottom of the cap and will epoxy in the power steering cap to the oil fill cap. That way there will be two seals to hopefully keep it from misting the engine with oil. It works in my head, just hope it works in real life!
This is the parts to make the original kick panel vents into speaker enclosures. I used windshield urethane to glue the sheet metal on the backs, then secured them with a bunch of self tapping screws. I'll post a pic when they are installed and speakers are in them. With the factory vent grills on them, no one will know there are speakers in there. Well, except everybody that reads this thread.....
Took it for the first drive tonight over to my buddy's house, a whopping 1/4 of a mile away! Seemed to drive ok for not being tuned and having open exhaust manifolds, but the BCM did "ding" the whole time I was moving and the speedometer didn't work (which did work a few days ago on jack stands, so not sure about that) so I'll have to do some investigating when it gets back from getting the exhaust done tomorrow night. Here it is loaded on the trailer it was brought home on, ready to go to the exhaust shop.
I'm really disappointed, I always go full redneck and drive to the exhaust guy with open headers. Hahaha!!!
I'm actually not surprised about the tires. The last set of tires I had mounted were staggered offset with directional wheels. I marked everything with painters tape before I arrived and they still had questions. I ended up standing in the bay directing the guys. Just let me use the machine, I'll do it myself.

I have the same set of wheels in tires.
Same widths and nearly the same profiles. I wish I did 18s upfront vs. 17s. My rears are 18s.
I have double-adjustable coil-overs around from viking and do have good ride quality, but it took quite a bit of adjusting of the shocks, including swapping one time each both sets of coils (the rears - I went longer and the fronts, to a lower rate.)
This is really a tremendous project with incredible attention to detail and creative problem solving!
Well apparently tire stores are the same all over the country! I did have one tire go flat the next day, and again the next. I was sure it was from them having to dismout two of the tires to swith them, thinking they messed up a bead. Nope. Bad wheel..... Its leaking at the center of the wheel where the rim is welded on. It doesnt leak at the back where you can see the weld, and the barrel is a solid piece, so not sure how it could happen. If I wasnt in a hurry I'm sure it wouldn't. ... Called the wheel place and they said since they are special made if they put a rush on it it still could take 2 to 3 weeks.... Really bummed.
