Default Hooker LS Engine Mounts - 58-64 Impala

Hey guys,

Brand new to the forum.

I couldn't find ANY info online as to exactly which Hooker LS engine plates guys were using in 58-64 Chevrolet Impala's. They offer "stock location", 0.5" forward, 1.25" forward, and 3" forward. Does anyone have any real world experience with these cars and which plates to use?

I'm running an '08 LY6 with a 4L80 transmission

I don't think that you're being ignored. It's just that I haven't seen many X-frame swaps...

Do you have pictures of the engine bay without an engine? Post them up. Lots of experienced people here that can offer some suggestions.

No personal experience with that car, but from what I've looked at the engine compartment and front cross member look like it offers tons of space. I know the stock position would work for the engine since it held the early v8's, but the trans tunnel would be tight for the 4l80e so more forward would help with that issue.

Here's a complete kit from MuscleRods designed to be used with the F-body oil pans. Might give you a better idea of placement from looking at the engine mounts.
