L94 Swap into 07' Denali (L92 ECU)
Hi Guys, I have an 07 Denali. From what I understand, they had the L92 6.2L with VVT but no DOD from 07-09, and then the L94 came in to replace it with DOD in 2010. The AFM/DOD being the only real difference. Am I right?
My engine is toast, and I have a line on an '09 6.2L and a 2011 6.2. Which I assume are L92 and L94 respectively. Do you think I can get away with running the L94 on my L92 ECU? I expect that it should be fine given that the ECU should have the AFM tune disabled, and so should just run as if it were an L92 (except that fact that it will have 4 AFM lifters that aren't activated ever).

You need to use your original intake manifold. The older MAP sensor needs to be used in the new engine. Its a different size and calibration. You can use your 07 computer and have the tune modified. I would find a non DOD engine to save on all the hassle.
