Porsche 996 guys please help wtih tach issue
I have the GMPP stand alone
Ok I cannot get the 996 tach to work , i had the wrong group of wires to start with.
I am pretty sure i have the right 996 crank sensor wires (white, brown, black) now.
Now so far i have tried
Direct gm crank sensor signal (lt green) to the 996 cs sig (white)
The gm tach output (white) to the 996 white
Same with a pull up resistor
I have continuity from the 996 cs plug to the 996 ecu on signal and ground.
Cant find the tach ouput from the 996 ecu.
Any ideas????
Thanks in advance!

Ok my tach works!!!
Fiero, Just as soon as i read what you posted i knew something was wrong.
My instructions for the gmpp kit shows the lt green as signal and blue/white as 5v.
Checking mine clearly had 5v on lt gn, my bad also because I should have made sure myself.
Hooked the blue to white 996 wire and BOOM working tach!
Thanks again man!
