I havent seen any, but i havent looked for any either. I plan on doing my 00 F150 when my 4.6 blows, but i wanna keep my 5 speed and would like a complete engine and trans dropout to make it easier which is hard to find.

Id bet theres a few of that body style F150 with LSx swaps. It doesnt seem it would be any more difficult than any other swap. Just adapt the guage sensors from the ford to the gm engine and get or make a harness. Custom mounts would prob be necessary but there may be a mustang swap mount that would work. Im very interested in this aswell. The ford 4.6 and 5.4 in the pre 04 trucks is a workhorse engine but just lacks power anywhere.

I am trying to attempt this at the moment, I have got the motor and transmission 4x4 of course. Everything is being gone through and built from the bottom up at the moment, I am shooting for August.

Good luck to you my friend!

Make a build thread when you get close to starting it. I will be following it closely. Mine is a 2wd so should be easier right? Lol

Default Starting on the F-150 motor

So far this is what's been going on, bought a 5.3 turned out it was cracked ( a chance I took all is good), got another 5.3 on the way. It's going to be bored to a 5.408L, I got a isky cam, flat top Pistons, 6.0 heads that are being shaved down to the 5.3 head height. If you have any suggestions for this project motor let me know please.
