Default Won't rev above 3500 (LS1 2000)

See video, I can drive normally below 3500. I do have some misfire on wot, something ignition-wise is wrong.

Remedies so far, with no effect:

spark plug wires, nothing.

Crank position sensor is new, had DTC on that before.

Tried to perform a Crank relearn with HP tuner, didn't seem to work because reached rpm is insufficient.

Measured fuel pressure, was of the chart. Replaced filter/regulator (stock Corvette unit). Now 54 psi according to this gauge. Exhaust smells slightly less bad after fuel pressure is corrected, though.

But it still does this: (a reboot restores sub-3500 driveability)

These are fault codes retrieved from hp tuner BEFORE fuel pressure was corrected (no hp tuner access until later this week):

You have HP. So why not a data log and post the tun file, instead of guessing??

We should learn how to do that. My friend has it and we are not experts, yet.

I was told this PCM is for a manual vehicle, But the harness has trans connectors. If the PCM is for an 4L60E, would that cause problems like this?

It's been one year since the swap was completed, maybe I should go back to old school... Or spend $$$ on an aftermarket EFI system.

I agree with Old Geezer, you need to learn HP Tuners - especially since you have access to it.

The PCM and harness need to match or odd things can happen. Using HP Tuners to make changes to the PCM calibration will greatly improve the odds of your vehicle running properly.

You could also just call it evil witchcraft and sell everything to me for a song and head back to the dark ages. Honestly if the problem is tuning you are probably 30 minutes from resolving your issue if you take a bit of time to understand the "black magic" of HP Tuners and this new fangled computer stuff.

By the way, we can't see your picture because PB is being a bunch of jerks and doesn't want to share toys the sandbox any longer.

Thanks all for replying, I kind of parked it and forgot all about it for a while...

I will buy myself a HP Tuners-kit soon, traveling to the US in april. No access to tuning software until then. Can't wait!

Yesterday I went to the garage and fired it up. Tried disconnecting a few sensors and it behaved as expected. But the MAF? It started up and ran just fine with i disconnected.

The list of codes shown with HP Tuners scan tool (with way too high fuel pressure):

327 knock sensor 1 circuit low bank 1, pending, current
405 EGR sensor A circuit low
412 sec air injection switching valve A circuit, current, history
418 sec air injection system control A circuit, history
443 evap emission system purge control valve circuit, pending, current
449 evap emission system vent control circuit intermettent, pending
452 evap emission system pressure sensor/switch low, pending, current, history
463 fuel level sensor A circuit high, pending, current
480 fan 1 control circuit, ses, pending, current
481 fan 2 control circuit, ses, current
645 a/c clutch relay control circuit, pending
1336 pending, current, history

no codes with a standard basic cheap obd2-scanner

Have you looked at what timing advance is doing? With that knock sensor code I bet it is killing timing after 3,000rpm. I had an issue with china knock sensors a few months back that acted like a rev limiter at 4200-4500 rpm

I’ll take a look at that. Thanks!

This winter has been mean. But finally the temperatures allowed for some quality time in the garage.

I cleared all stored codes, performed multiple test runs in a row and after a while she spitted out P0327, measured and the front knock sensor was indeed out of range. 30k ohms or so. Should be 93-107k as seen here:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-few-days.html

It looked awful, too. Harness is fine, but the big rubber plugs seal badly. Will order a new KS and hope for the best.

Timing was 48 degrees at almost 3900 rpm before shutting off. That is the shut off rpm, It seems my cheap tach differs a few hundred.

Well, it was NOT knock sensor related.

can someone out there please try and disconnect the electronics to your 4L60E or what you may have and report how it behaves? That is my last clue, that the seller gave me false info on PCM tuning...

Default Have HPT-file now!

Finally HP Tuner!

Found interesting in abuse mode, any body want to take a look?

(The fuel tank is currently removed because of truck floor fix, can't start Engine and try new settings at the moment.)

Car was dismantled for a while, was finally able to try and change Abuse Mode to 8 000 rpm a week ago – and now it works fine!

Great. Glad you were able to get it working. Thanks for reporting in, so many never report what solved their issues.
