Exhaust is tricky like said, because its all personal preference. Just remember this, 2 mufflers will be more quiet than 1 "generally" speaking. I would find the biggest pair you can fit. Another thing, if your doing the exhaust, buy the thickest pipe also. It's amazing how much sound changes from pipe thickness as well.

A sincere thanks for all the replies, sound bites, and pics! Surprisingly most people were on the same page. Many good points brought up in this thread! Michael Yount impressive fab work!! I decided to go with some catalytic convertors with nice heat shields up front followed by some 2017 Mustang GT take off mufflers I found on Ebay. They are 2 1/2" in/out. Center inlet and offset out. They are big and heavy but I believe they will fit. They look brand spanking new inside and out. It will be a while before I know what they sound like, but I will try to remember to post some follow up info.

Pretty cool idea with the mufflers. I really like the sound of your video. Back in '06 I noticed the new Mustang GT's had a real good sound , stock. LOL.
