You said you are using the fuel hanger from a 93, do you know if the fuel level Sending unit
will match the fuel Gauge of all 1st gens, I think they do but not 100%. Thanks
I will be working on that over the next few days so stay in touch. The ohm reading on GM fuel senders from 1965 to late 90's if I remember correctly are all 0-90ohms

I don't have a set date on all the swap parts that will be available, I will post on this thread as they become available.

Here's a few updates from the weekend, worked mostly on the accessory drive system and finishing up the fuel tank before I start the fuel system.

I'll be using the Holley 20-136 acc drive system along with the 21-1 corvette spacing adapters

I decided to use the kit with the R4 compressor since it mounts near the same location as the stock compressor

I actually like that the Holley mounts have a very factory look about them. Quality pieces!

Looking for suggestions on power steering hoses, anyone have part numbers or application they have used before?

On my '82 5.3 swap, using the Corvette accessory drive, I used two Corvette hoses to hook the pump/reservoir to my stock power steering box. The pressure line is from a 2005 Corvette, and the return line is from a 1995 Corvette.

The pressure hose I bought is AC Delco 36363180. The return hose was AC Delco 36361840. That one is labeled "gear to cooler" on the Corvette, if you're buying at a local parts store. It has the Saginaw fitting for the power steering box on one end, and is just a rubber hose otherwise. It has a hard 90 degree bend coming out of the power steering box, which I needed to give me extra clearance. The stock return hose could be removed from the fitting, but it has a straight outlet which didn't work for me.

Here's a quick photo of the power steering lines:

I used the stock hoses on my 2000 S10. I just had to bend them a little to get to go where I wanted.
On my son-inlaws 73 Nova we also used the stock hoses but cut and the standard fitting off then flared it with a metric fitting on it that we already had from the power steering hose that came with the engine we were putting in.

I plan on having the clutch master line complete this weekend so stay in touch.

I like how the motor sits with those mounts, and REALLY dig that cross member! So what headers do you have on this? Is this a personal project or a shop build? Looks like a nice place where the swap is happening either way!

Glad you like the products, the headers are the new Hooker Blackheart S10 swap headers that will be out soon. The truck is owned by a co-worker, I'm just doing the swap for him. A few of the pics are from work and some from my house. Keep in touch I plan to post the entire build, any questions just ask.

I decided to go ahead and upgrade the alternator and change the power steering pump pulley this weekend. The premium alternator is smaller in size and more amperage. The reason I changed the power steering pulley is to gain more room for the power steering hoses going in the gear box.

97-154 power steering pulley (poor packaging, I've had it laying about for a few years)

The smaller pulley will help with power steering hose choices

smaller and more powerful

I've had a few PM's with questions about the headers being used, the headers will soon be released as part of the Hooker Blackheart product line for S10 LS swaps. They will be available in 1 3/4" and 1 7/8" mid-length in 304SS. Here's a few pics straight off the production floor.

A few options for plug wires that work great with these headers.

Could you please post a picture of the #6 tube over the control arm, I have the UMI
control arms, and the Current mounts and Stainless Works headers hit the control arm
with just a little travel, only about 5/16" space between them now, planning on
using the BFH to get a little more. Really liking how your setup sits in the frame,
low and set back, looks like your setup is about 2" further back than the Current Performance setup.

Keep in mind that lowering your truck with coil springs or different control arms will change this.
