It’s too cold out to work on upholstery for my Sedan Delivery so I’m toying with this while it’s bitter cold still.
I know it’s not the first of its kind, but still pretty unique.
Not much for a build thread so far, but my Fiancee and I are putting an L76 in this 1975 Pacer. Backed by a 6L80. And we’ll be putting a Ford 8.8 in the back with a custom driveshaft. I also have an LSA blower laying around that might get mounted up if it clears the hood. Should be a fun little sleeper!

NOT sure why that picture flipped?!
Test fit the hood today, clears without any issues, roughly 1-3” of clearance throughout, but I’ll had to rework the hood latch assembly as well as the wiper arm linkage which I may have to modify the intake to clear while in motion. I don’t think an LSA will fit the stock hood, so I’ll have to find another project for that!
There’s always room for a front mount Turbo though!

This will be a sleeper from hell for sure, like this, 4 years ago I put a V/20 Black Top -- 165HP-- into a 84 toyota tercel 4 wheel drive -- The Rocket- and runs like one. I like off the wall builds that go un noticed-- didn't intend to high jack your post with a few pix.

Twenty pounds of awesome in a shitty five pound bag, or something like that!
Managed to shoehorn the engine with the 6l80 into the car. Amazingly, it fits! Some light hammer work to make a bit more room in the transmission tunnel and it’ll be all set. I’ll have to build a new crossmember as this LS/6l80 is about 8” shorter overall than the old 232ci I6 and 727. Had to ditch the heater box, but there should be ample room for exhaust manifolds and I don’t foresee much else in the way aside from the wiper linkage.

Just think if all the little old Gramma's seen this Gremlin, they would be instantly wet for you and the car.

Well... I had originally picked up a CTS-V lid for the LSA knowing that they’re shorter overall than the ZL1 lids. After getting the engine placed where I wanted it I realized there would be ALOT of cutting in the coal area to clear the back of the CTS-V lid, so i had pretty well scrapped the idea of the LSA, but not being able to leave well enough alone, I ordered a ZL1 lid! The damn thing fits! I can even insert the bolts! The cowl is VERY close,so I may tweak the mounts and the lip on the cowl a bit, but aside from that... I think this may be the first LSA-charged Pacer! I’ll have to come up with some sort of subtle hood bulge, but we’ll tackle that hurdle when we get there. For anyone looking for a CTS-V lid, I listed it back up on eBay.

Bahahahahahaha!! This is awesome (in a "horrible & wrong" kind of way)! My first car was a '71 Gremlin with the 232 backed by the "awe-inspiring" three on the tree... Kept it just long enough for my dad & I to put a clutch in it, then sold it. I certainly don't miss the Gremlin, but it did give me a mild, yet perverse affection for AMCs. It's awesome that you've been able to make the blower fit, I suspect that thing's going to shock the hell out of some people... Subscribing for updates.
BTW, I noticed you're in Wyoming - once I get my swap running, then I might run up there to see this sucker in person!! (I'm in CO.)
