Thank you. The problem I am having is that i had a 95 4l60e with the crank ring adapter but when i talked to the guys at Painless Performance where I'm getting my engine harness they said it had to be a 97 or newer. The computer wont read it so this is why i need to find another tranny. I am hopping to use my buddy's out of his 99 s10 because its free lol. again any info would be a big help just want to get this thing running. 68 c10 ls swap. Thanks Cayenne

From the info I have read the V6 s10 4l60e will not last long at all behind a LS motor. I think some have got it to work but it didn't last long. Try S10forum.com for some really good info on the ls swap in an S10.

I beg to differ
It will bolt up to the engine and then electronics will work
You will need to use the Gen 1 engine/Big V6 type convertor. Nothing special there. Very plentiful. All kinds out there with a myriad of stall speeds.
You will need a spacer required between the converter and the 5.3 crankshaft. You will need to slightly elongate the converter mounting holes in the 5.3 flex plate.
The electronics will hook up and work with the 411 ECM.
What you will NEED to do is have the transmission built to V8 specs. More clutches.
In the present V6 configuration the trans will not live long.
This is the exact eng/trans configuration I have. I had the trans built properly to V8 specs and I am having no issues. And I tow car trailers and travel trailers all the time.
Do a search in this forums transmission section to get all the right info you need

Elongate the holes on the flex plate? Are you crazy? How the hell do you expect that to spin true? And have you never seen videos of a torque converter blowing through the floor of a car before? I’ve never heard something so sketchy in my life. You should be banned from cars for life for giving advice like that.
And to the OP - stop trying to spend all this time and money to make this trans fit, it’s a weak trans even when it’s designed for a V8.

8.lug you need to read more talk less
lookup 298mm vs 300mm flexplates
Tbese converters centrr on the crankshaft pilot hole not the bolt holes
OP look in this sites trans section for info on this
gen 1 transmission to gen 3 engines
call some of the transmission site sponsers
what you want to do can be done and has been done safely for many years
Tons of this info on Google about this also
