Ls swap specialist

does anyone know of any shops that specialize in Ls swaps in North Carolina? I’ve searched but haven’t found much luck. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post.

There are certainly some shops that specialize in modifying/tuning the LS engines, but I don't know of any that I'd say are "swap specialists". Swaps are almost always death by a million details if you really want to get all the details just right. It generally takes a pretty big wallet to hire it out to someone else -- which is why most of them are done at home - also why there aren't many shops that specialize in them.

I forget the name of the place but all I wanted was a simple replacement of my currently running LS with a different one and they wanted $2,500 or something. It's a few hours work, tops. What you are putting in and into what also matters, but since you have provided zero details it's hard to pretend to make suggestions.

What do you need done? For just a motor swap D&D Auto in Rock Hill SC has some good swap guys there

For custom fab and full build? Somewhere like Tick performance, RPM in Garner etc.......

Or watch some videos and do it yourself saving plenty of $$$$

IDK any in your area, but I highly recommend using a reputable shop. Check past customers etc.

There are pros and hacks... Both are pricey. Just make sure you have a quality shop do the work with a warranty.

In TX there were a couple shops that screwed people over on conversions and it was sad to see all the good money wasted. One I saw just looked horrible. The other pulled the truck from the shop not complete due to continual BS and money wasted.

All the small parts add up and can get frustrating.

Very rough ballpark 20-30k turnkey.

There’s no such thing as a “swap specialist” and if you ever happen to find someone claiming they are one - run for the hills - because they’re full of sht and you can guaranatee your car will be hacked to pieces.

Every car is different, every customer has different expectations, and there’s thousands of combinations of ways to assemble an LS due to different accessories, different wiring, different ways to route everything, among many other factors - no swap is the same - even into 2 of the exact same car.

The closest thing you’re gonna find to a “swap specialist” is a custom car builder so expect to be paying $20k+ or just do what every other self respecting car nut does - buy some tools, do some research, and get wrenching.

What vehicle are you doing the swap in?

brandon6.0 08-10-2018 10:24 PM

I could handle it but im in ga. We do swaps constantly. Starting on 2 cutlass ls swaps this month.
And i consider myself a specialist! Ive done alot of swaps. I do all my own tuning as well. Never had one bad customer review! I know all the ins and outs on these swaps. Pm me if interested.

Like said, not sure if there's a specific swap shop.

I like RPM, bunch of good guys there.
