Default 93 Mustang, LQ4, MS3 - no tach signal. Help!

I have the tach wire off my MS3 gold box tapped into the tach wire behind the cluster (tan with yellow stripe).
As soon as I try to turn it in on the OEM tach gauge goes to 250 rpms and Tuner Studio says "no tach signal". I'm using AC Delco crank and cam sensors.

Any advice?

It does this running or just key on?
I tapped into my factory fox tach with the goldbox tach wire output as is and it works fine. Some said they use a step up resistor to 12v but I didn't have to.
Can't remember the wire colors...you absolutely sure you have the right one?

Key on. I can't get it to turn over without the tach signal. I've checked the signal wire color and it's the same info everywhere for a '93.

That's weird. I will have to pay attention to mine next time I start it but I'd think it would at least turn over. You using the ford solenoid to start? You will have to alter the clutch/neutral switch setup to get it to engage the starter depending on if the car was an auto or manual.
