Got my front suspension all cleaned up repainted in part and put back in the car today. Went and picked up a complete 04 stock dropout k-member for the rack and sway bar. Once I get the rack cleaned and installed tomorrow I will switch to the engine projects. It would of been a real **** show watching this old fat guy wallowing around under this car like I used to years ago. Lots harder and slower but still getting there, glad I got lots of time.

I clear a truck intake with my cervinis 95 cobra r style hood that’s supposed to be 3.5 but it’s more like 2.5. I think you will be fine with that hood

The Hi Ram is second hand but unused new still. For about the same price. Can get a new Holley Sniper that is about 3” shorter for close to same price. How would you think the car would run differently between the two intakes ?? Sniper would give the option of a ahorter hood if i later want to do that. I will likely be n/a for a brief time as i want to work out and drivability kinks before introducing the turbo version

I have been concerned about the fact that it lacks the taper that they so proudly advertise along with the sniper. It is BS or ?? That race version looks like it is to catch the guys that cannot stop without spending the most possible. I used to be one. Since this is a dedicated high effort but street no prep project it is not for me. I am sure the hp gain on any of them is negligible to unusable in my application

Looking at radiators and fans. Would you pay more for cherry low miles oem 98-02 fan set than you would the ebay knock off's ?? Based on the **** quality of the Gspot throttle body I have to re machine I feel the old oem stuff is the premium choice...

Spent the morning dis-assembling and re-machining my auction site $66 92mm throttle body. The TPS and the idle air control are both perfectly hand fit now. Used my gunsmith lathe to cut and fit the shaft. And for chucking up a made up dowel mandrel and cartridge roll to hone out the IAC pocket. Both are a perfect fit now. I reassembled it all with loctite red 271 and peened the throttle blade screws. I see no reason why this would not perform comparable to any other 92mm throttle body and cost peanuts and some shop time. Worth the time to save the $$$

What would it cost to rework that "cheap" TB if you had to pay someone to do it? You practically remanufactured it! It's not so cheap now....

you know I have to say " cost me nothing" be fore giving an honest answer I spent 2 hours but could do the next one in half that and the 10th one in 30 minutes so it should not be much but everybody wants a hansom profit for their ideas or work so likely $200 with shipping but even that would be ok if it all fit together.
I am considering buying a few at a time and doing this work and fitting the two sensors and selling against the straight from china's online. Would be pretty easy to show the issue with a set of calipers and provide the fix. I took it up town to 3 parts stores this morning and tried every brand tps and iac motor available and none were a proper fit as it was delivered.

Started to do a few mods to make the car easier to work on long term. Was gonna stop here and make the top removable before I test fit the engine. Then I saw a car done like this and think I want to just go ahead and spend a day and make it happen. I just like the wide open space to fit stuff in and to work on it. Which way would you go if your car. Is there any downside to option 2 ?? I guess I am trying to find a reason not to do this.

I’m in the middle of going the same thing. 417 motorsports make a really nice set up for your car. All pre made. The pic you posted is actually their set up

I think I am going to tear into it in the morning. I can build it all for peanuts. Here is another by Rock Solid Motorsports... I am struggling to decide how to run the tubes to maintain the best arrangment for turbo specific build. I certainly like the looks of the 417 set up best.

I liked the way the 417 ran the bars. The Rock solid one seems like it would have less area, because the bars are closer in

That 417 piece looks nice! I’d like to throw one on my car down the road
