Thanks man and yes it has a TSP228r cam. Yeah I'm happy with those mufflers also. I did not expect much for the price but they far exceeded my expectations.

Nice! Yeah it has just the right amount of lope to let someone know "there's something going on here". Good sound but still very drivable!

Well I picked that cam when the engine was a 5.3 (I liked how it performed and sound in a buddy's truck a little more lope). When I rebuilt the engine I decided to bored it to a 5.7 it tamed the cam a little more than I would have thought, but I'm cool with it. I have to move on and finish this thing so I can rebuild my 55 Chevy car. I've done way more than I planned to this truck but I enjoyed it every step of the way.

Yeah, "displacement eats duration" is the saying I learned recently, but it seems to hold some truth! Keep it up, man, we're all watching and wishing! lol
Where in Cali are you? I'm in Hanford, about 30 miles south of Fresno.

Good to see you still making progress on this truck BAM. I was hoping to see you pop up again. I love this truck and all your custom touches.

It's always nice to see other people do their own custom stuff at home in a small space. I hear people complain about not being able to build something because they don't have enough space then they come to my place and see how small my spot really is (I'm told it looks bigger in pictures). I tell them I've seen some really cool cars built under trees, tarps, in single or two car garages with minimal tools. It's all about drive. People like you, ls1nova71, TruckDoug and I all work out of really small spaces yet we get stuff done. I guess we don't have time or room for excuses.

Thanks so much for all the words of encouragement. Yeah I have a really small area to work in but I get it done. The best that I've done was build a 12x15 room that acts as my tool and work area. Now my garage houses my cars only (I also have a 55 chevy car). The thing I get most from people is they can't believe I paint my cars in my backyard under a canopy with plastic walls. They think you need a paint booth to have decent paint job. If there is a will there is a way. I like doing everything myself because no one cares about your rides like you.

Here is my work shop, it help me out a lot as far as space. I build engines and transmissions in here, nothing like a nice and clean space to do engine and trans work.

You are killing me with this build. Awesome work and I love this Chevy truck body style, especially that big wraparound back window. Two of these are sitting in an area that I often drive by but I think they are likely only parts vehicles now.

Really nice work on yours.

Yes I posted the engine specs in the section that I uploaded the pics for the engine and trans rebuild, but I uploaded a lot of info and pics so it was easy for someone to miss it. Thanks you for all your compliments I truly appreciate them.

Thanks man and I'm a big window fan also. Its the reason I purchased this truck. It was a 58 and I changed the front end and did all that work simply because it was big window cab.lol

I have just read right through this thread, and I am blown away by the standard of workmanship. It is hard to believe that one person has so much skill. You are an inspiration.

I'm really surprised that as tight as emissions are in Cali that you can still get away with this. Heck, I'm in the Midwest and am not supposed to paint stuff in my own garage. You must have better neighbors than me! But then, everybody has better neighbors than me because I have the absolute worst....
