Default Turbo Ls Foxbody starter wiring questions?

I am getting around to figuring out how to wire everything and I am stuck on the starter. I made this rough diagram that doesn't use the ford solenoid, but I don't know if it is correct or if i should run the ford starter solenoid. Any input is welcome.

That would be correct. The GM starter has a solenoid on it which your main power and signal wire connect to. Applying a signal will activate the solenoid and turn over the starter.

If you are using an ignition switch, just connect the solenoid wire to the start terminal.

And I think ideally you want to run power from the battery, to the starter, to the alternator, to the fusebox. But it probably doesnt really matter.

I think I am going to be doing a setup like the one in the pic you sent. I was just over complicating it and that way is much easier.
