Default TAC Module Ground

I fired up the 5.3 but throttle pedal (DBW) was unresponsive.
Does the TAC and throttle pedal use the sheet metal on the car as ground?
I have everything sitting on a wooden table with only the harnesses linking them together.

No it doesn't use the firewall as a ground. Are you sure it has power? Is it the correct one for your engine/PCM?

It didn't have power to the pink the first time I tried it.. I hooked that up and still nothing.
Everything is from the same truck and I matched all the numbers online so pretty sure they match.

I will have to retrace the wires. I did a quick cut and wire nut hook up to test it.....just couldn't wait.
This is without the pink hooked up. I hooked it up after and same thing:

I hooked up a ground to the TAC and it's working now.
