Default Express Van 6L90e T43 TCM - Which PCM and OS ?

Hey guys, I have a 2018 Express Van 6L90e. Having a harness built and I don't have a PCM yet. Running a 416 LS3 in a 77 C10 pickup. I'd rather not remove the TCM from the trans if I can avoid it, so any guidance as to which OS I can load onto a blank E38 PCM with HP Tuners? Is it possible to find a L99 Camaro/ 6L80e tune in the repository and just write entire once I get the harness hooked up to the trans? This is my first 6-speed Gen IV swap so I'm a bit lost.

E38's have to be flashed with SPS before you can use tuning software on them.

Ok but what if I buy a used L99 Camaro E38 ? I'm wondering what I need to do to get it to sync with the 2018 Express van T43 TCM which would have used an E67 ECM since it was a non-DI 6.0L van.

ECM and TCM need to match, year wise with very few exceptions. You cannot run an 07 ECM with an 08 and up TCM. You cannot load an 09 and up OS in an early TCM. I dont know what OS a 2018 express van used but unless it used an older OS it wont work easily with a E38. I have a chart of compatible T43 OS but it only goes up to around 2016 so it wont help. You have a challenge on your hands for sure with that project.

I'm aware of the OS incompatibilities between 2010+ and 2009 and earlier. My ECM will be from a 2013 L99 Camaro so I'll send that along with the TCM to Speartech, they'll hook it up to a Tech 2 and sync them up for me. I cannot run the ECM from the Express van as it's an E67 and I will be running Dakota Digital cruise control which is not compatible with E67s.

Sending it to Speartech would defiantly be your best best for getting it to work.
