after looking on google some more i think the steering column i was trying to swap in is from a 88-94. it came with the truck so no money lost there which is a good thing. maybe i can sell it pretty easy.

yeah i got rid of it about a year ago. then got a 94 mustang....lost interest in it and sold the roller. found this truck down the road and got a good bit done while i was home from work. wish i never would have sold the old. this one will be better in the long run i think. itll have heater, better ecu, less suspicious lol. main thing now is waiting on ECU. once i get that i can fire up the engine and make sure there are no ticks or knocks. check for fuel leaks, exhaust leaks on the hotside. still got to build downpipe, get a driveshaft, change rear end ( wheel seals and pinion are leaking), change steering box (its leaking), change brakes, get a steering column. those are the important things. i know im still missing other things i got to do. things to do later are carpet, manual door panels, new dash, AC, rear bumper, meth, wheels. all in good time though

anyone have any budget minded plug wire set ideas? on my other c10 i believe i used the plug wires on a 94 camaro 5.7 and was able to slide the boots over the coils. i dont want to pay 100+ dollars for a build your own set. local parts house has the ones for the 94 camaros for like 30 bucks +tax. just seeing if you guys had any other options.

I just use stock acdelco wires for trucks. I have a couple parts store wires on it here or there from boots getting ripped

well with the manifolds flipped im going to have to go over the manifolds. there isnt enough room to go between the valve covers and manifolds. not without burning wires all the time.

Ohhh yeah yours are going down and forward. Lots of room. Mine are going up and forward so it's a tight fit.

ECU came in today. Got engine harness through the firewall and plugged in. ECU is mounted in glove box. Still have some things to modify with that. Still have to get the trans harness routed. Not sure where I'll be running it through.

Had to drop a hole to get to the screw

Thanks Robert. I'll mess with it a little more tomorrow. Get the wires to lay a little better behind the glove box. Holley supplies plenty of wire and it'll all shoved up on the duct work right now. I just wanted to make sure it was all going to fit. It does so now I can clean it up a little bit.
