Front steer on a first gen camaro?
My build ( https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/129956-68-rag-camaro-wrapped-around-an-04-GTO-LS1-man ) has interested me in a front steer rack because of extra space in engine compartment. Has anyone done this as cannot find anything much on it. except that a front steer setup is less stressing or easier on bump steer-thx

I didn't use a rack, but did use a front steer subframe out of a 2nd gen F body on my Nova, which is the same as a 1st gen Camaro, but that was 19 years ago and things have gotten way easier now since the aftermarket has stepped up so much. It worked, but not worth the hassle today since they make oil pans now that let an LS drop in like a small block.

Naw, car people just have 'peculiarities' reading about your 71-could imagine some modifying there and I'm hunting to see the best steering because the motor support will sling across
where the box and idler arm were and no problem installing a Unisteer or flameriver unit but hear too many negatives using a RP in a stock frame. As one tech put it there is 'compression'
on the linkage in a rear steer but only tension on a front steer. My LS1 out of 04 GTO can keep the front oil pan, alternator and all accessories since the motor/trans sits about 8"
rearward if I can setup front steering, so thanks Eric!
