Default What Clutch for ls1 with tko600?

Hi Guys. A question for those of you using either a muncie or tko600. Which flywheel are you using? And what style clutch? A new ls1 pull style or old sbc push type?

I am using an LS1 F-body flywheel with a Ram pressure plate and 10 spline disc for a Muncie. I never did find out for sure is the pressure plate is really special or not but it bolted right up and would take an 11" or 12" disc.

I putting an LSx and a TKO 500 in my '66 Chevelle. I'm going to use the stock (for a Chevelle) linkage and TO bearing. The TKO was behind an old school 350 in a 76 Camaro project before I got smart and got rid of the Camaro.

I am not sure that the pressure plate for the old style setup will bolt on to the LS1 flywheel or not. I just called RAM and they gave me number of the one that fit. The clutch disc is definitely old style SBC. I am using a Lakewood scattershield as an adapter (long story) and using an old style long throw-out bearing.

69BlackWidow is your centerforce and ls1 center force or gen 1 sbc center force?

I am using a GTO flywheel on my 5.3, with a '89 Chevy truck clutch assembly. A gen 1 SBC pressure plate will bolt up to a LSx flywheel, but you will have to remove the locating pins on the flywheel. Also, the GTO flywheel is quite a bit thinner than the SBC flywheel, so I use a longer throw out bearing to compensate. I'll let you know after this weekend whether it works or not.

Thanks 69BlackWidow and others for the help. I think I am clear now. I'll let you know how it turns out.
