Mileage
Last road trip with my 99 Z28 A4, got 24 mpg on the way there, 23 mpg coming back. Ran a tank through with my foot into it regularily, got 18 mpg. All that's on 93 octane premium too. As a reference, my 02 cavalier 5-spd, 34 mpg on the last trip. I get 31-32 weekly daily driving it. Which is what I bought it for. Thats just good ole 87 octane, 86 when I can find it. Much as I don't want to go taiwapo, I may get a hybrid for my commute when I'm done with the cavalier.
Unfortunately looks like I'll be paying $2.99/gal for premium to go to woodward this weekend. yippee

You must be joking right? If you cant afford to drive it the way it is sell it to someone who can. If you are really considering doing something that drastic try riding a bike.

I kind of work at a gas station chain in Missouri and thats what I tell every person that bitches. They spend 20-30 a week on cigs/beer and then have the nerve to bitch about gas.

What a bad joke this is! You obviously aren't serious. Yeah, pay to insure an SS with a V6 in it. You'd have to take it to a smog ref an all so it would be legal. The V6 would reward your efforts with an extra 2 or 3 mpg. I say go for it! I wish you really would do it, so I could have a good laugh. You could have a pic of the SS in your avatar with the hood popped, sporting a V6 with a cold air intake, ha ha ha lol. You could even do a V6 muffler tip conversion, that way you have just one little galvanized turn down, lol. I'm laughing so hard at the thought of a V6 motor swap in an SS that I can barely type, ha ha lol.
EDIT: I almost forgot. What about an integra type R motor? That would be a real kick in the pants.

Great, you took a huge hit on your car, say 4k, bought a new civic, 18k, only to be economical and save a few bucks a week. Thats great and all but now your out 22k and drive a slow boring pos.
