Sound like a good deal. Has he already ordered the intake from the corvette? The reason I ask is the 2002 5.3 truck intakes do not have the EGR valves so if he went with one of those he would not have to use a block out cover on the EGR. The truck also has the adj fuel regulater and return line from the rail not internal in the tank like the covette and the f-bodys

Well, as oppposed to how it may appear, money IS an issue. . .

So no new intake will be ordered, otherwise we'd just get a 2001+ F-body (ls6) intake. . .

Not to mention, that's one reason why he wanted this engine was cuz it was advertised as a 2001, thus it should have the LS6 intake. . .unfortunately it's a very EARLY 2001, therefore having the old intake. . .heads & block.

This will definitely have a 99% custom fuel system.

That car is going to look/sound SO BADASS.
My other favorite Cobra was equipped with an '86 Regal Turbo motor (3.8L Turbo) with a bunch of aftermarket mods!

That thing's going to FLY!

I wish I could drive an LS1 cobra...I wouldn't mind putting an ARE 427 in it...muhahahhha

Talk about fast.....you would have to drive around on full slicks 24/7 just not to kill yourself...

Are you sure it is a LS1 intake? My 2001 Z's build date is 8/00 and my intake is the LS6 one.
