I have a 97 Chevy C1500 Ext Cab Silverado and was wondering if any one knew how hard is it to install one of these engines into my truck and the price, power of these? Or should I keep the L31? It has a factory 350 5.7L Vortec L31.

Well I just recieved a Scoogin... Catalog today. But my plans are to make it a 1997 30th Anniversary SS Camaro Bred SS C1500 Silverado. I would love to get SLP to make it official. For right now Im saving up money and keeping the truck drivable so I can do everything all at once. I think I will make it as much Camaro as possible. I'll probably end up getting something like an LT1, LT4, or LT5. So which of these is better?

The LT5 is going to be the best performer stock.
Now with that being said. Don't expect to find one, even used, for less than $10,000. Add to that the fact that parts are hard to come by and expensive.
The LT4 is also a limited production engine only available in Grand Sport and collector editions of the corvette. Because of this, they too are overpriced and hard to come by.
Your best bet is to find a nice LT1 and add all the LT4 stuff to it. Or add whatever you want. You can find a really nice LT1 for really cheap.
