there is a wiring harness on ebay that came from a 2002 camaro ss and the guy listed that it would work with any of these engines:

1999-2000 LS1 5.7L, LS6 5.7L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L & 8.1L

so i can get a wiring harness off of a 8.1l truck and it should work?

i believe the 8.1L harness is different than the 4.8,5.3,,6.0 harness.

i wanted to say i read the truck harnesses are different, especially where they hookup in the cabin.

The 8.1L harness is different than the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 harness. The 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 use the same harness. The truck and car harnesses are completely different on how they hook up on the car side, but the engine side of the harness is pretty similar. You can interchange the car and truck harnesses when your doing a conversion as long as you change a couple connectors on the engine side.

The connector for the injectors are different from the truck and car. You can use the truck harness and graft the car connector on it. Hope that helps.
